Structural Steel Fabrication

Structural Steel Fabrication

Structural Steel Fabrication

We fabricate residential structural steel packages in accordance with engineered drawings and project requirements. Our fabrication process emphasizes accuracy, consistency, and fit to support efficient installation and long-term performance.

Delivery & Logistics

Structural Steel Fabrication

Structural Steel Fabrication

Our dedicated drivers deliver steel directly to the jobsite in coordination with project timelines. Sequencing and delivery planning are handled with the goal of minimizing disruption and supporting efficient handling and installation.

In-House Drawing & Detailing

Arches maintains a full in-house drawing and detailing department, allowing for a high level of coordination before fabrication begins.

Our team performs 3D scanning of concrete foundations and creates detailed 3D models of the structural steel to verify critical dimensions, elevations, and fit within the framing cavity. This process allows us to identify conflicts early and work directly with architects and engineers to resolve issues before they reach the jobsite.

We utilize professional detailing software with automated workflows and Trimble 3D scanning technology to support precision and consistency across projects.

Installation & Field Coordination

Installation scope varies by project. Depending on job requirements, Arches provides steel delivery to the jobsite, in-house layout coordination, and direct coordination with framing crews to support efficient erection.

While erection may be performed by others depending on scope, Arches typically provides field welding services and remains involved to ensure steel installs as intended and aligns with the overall construction schedule.

Our Process

Custom residential steel performs best when the process is coordinated, data-driven, and schedule-aware. Our process is designed to reduce risk, improve accuracy, and support smooth execution from foundation to installation.

Step 1: Plan Review & Early Coordination

We review structural plans and project requirements early to understand scope, sequencing, and jobsite conditions. Early coordination allows us to identify potential challenges before fabrication begins.

Step 2: Field Verification & 3D Modeling

Using Trimble 3D scanning, we verify concrete foundations, elevations, and critical dimensions in the field. Structural steel is then modeled in 3D to confirm fit within framing cavities and alignment with design intent.

This step significantly reduces installation issues and rework.

Step 3: Detailing & Problem Solving

Our in-house drawing team works directly with builders, architects, and engineers to resolve conflicts and refine details. Potential issues are addressed early, when solutions are fastest and most cost-effective.

Step 4: Fabrication

Steel is fabricated using a combination of skilled craftsmanship and automated equipment, including robotic and computer-controlled beam processing systems. This allows us to maintain tight tolerances while increasing production efficiency.

Step 5: Delivery, Layout & Field Support

Steel is delivered to the jobsite according to project sequencing. Depending on scope, Arches provides layout coordination, coordination with framing crews, and field welding services to support proper erection and final alignment.
